Christ Church Cathedral

Dublin
This absolutely breathtaking church is right in the centre of the old medieval quarter in the city. This used to be the site of an ancient Viking place of worship crafted from wood, but the current building dates back to the late 1100's and was built by the Normans. Take a walk down to the crypt in the most ancient part of the church where you’ll find some fascinating statues. If you are in Dublin to check out the monuments then be sure to chalk this into your itinerary as it really is a spectacular place.
