The Chester Beatty Library is located on the grounds of Dublin Castle. It is more than just a library, it also serves as an art museum which provides information about various cultures and religions.
Samples of collected works that you might like to see in the buidling include the Islamic collection, which has over 6000 pieces and The East Asian Collection features decorative objests, scrolls, albums etc. It has an amazing selection of drawings, manuscripts, prints, books and paintings.
The building has a reading room, restaurant,lecture space, conservaion library,three exhibition galleries and offices. There is also a shop on the site too which sells loads of gifts and souvenirs.
You’ll also find the roof garden which features a variety surfaces from gravel to hardwood. It houses trees, herbs, shrubs and also provides views of Dublin Caslte. It is a perfect place to relax and take a break.
