Sightseeing in Dublin is an enjoyable experience, as you'll find all the attractions within a short distance of each other.

A good starting point is O'Connell Street, Dublin's main thoroughfare and the widest street in Europe! As you stroll down this street you'll see the G.P.O where bullet marks from the Civil War can still be seen on its pillars and you'll also see Dublin's newest attraction - The Spire.

Visit Dublin's medieval area and explore Christ Church Cathedral which was built by the Normans, or take a guided tour of Dublin Castle which can also be found here – this was once the seat of British power in Ireland.

Dublin's National Gallery is the main art gallery in Ireland and admission is free so you've no excuse not to visit here. Those who appreciated the works of famous Irish writer James Joyce, can pop into the James Joyce Centre and, of course, while in Dublin a visit to the Guinness Storehouse is a must. See how it's made and enjoy a complimentary pint of our favourite tipple!

Trinity College is Ireland's oldest college and was founded by Queen Elizabeth around 1592. Here, in the Old Library Building, can be found the world famous Book of Kells which was written about 800AD making it the oldest manuscript in the world.

Other attractions worth a visit include the National Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham Gaol, the Hugh Lane Gallery and the Old Jameson Distillery.

If you've overloaded on sightseeing, take some time out at Dublin's Phoenix Park, it's the largest enclosed park in Europe!Dublin Zoo and Aras an Uachtaráin (home of the Irish President) are located in the park. If you want to chill in the city centre take a well deserved break in St Stephens Green.
