you get what you pay for... i only stayed here because this was the only hotel that had rooms... i wouldn't recommend it...

My issue with the Travelodge Castleknock was that they letted multiple rooms to youngsters who were drinking and creating a lot of noise throughout the night. When first awoken at 2 am I informed the front desk who did ask them to quit slamming their doors, only to have the youngsters slam the doors even more and even louder. We contacted the front desk at least 3 times throughout the night. Although we were reserved for a 4-night stay, we found a much nicer hotel (Park Plaza) for much less than the cost of the Travelodge and checked out early the next morning.

My overall opinion is positive.

It appealed to us because we could take a dog. The cleanliness & location were exceellent and easy to find. It had a separately owned restaurant/ coffee shop which was well run. The location was a little further out of the city than most hotels, but ample parking and good bus service into the city.

Basic accommodation, it's what you pay for. Fine for an overnight stay,ie; before going to airport but not for a weekend away. Close to attractions like the zoo for kids.

I was going out for a night on the town, so it suited my purpose well. Well priced, clean with a good shower and central to where I wanted to go. Simply, cheap and cheerful!

Cheap and cheerful! Does the job for a quick stopover. You really need to have a designated driver though!

Very handy easy to reach from airport.Bus outside door to city centre.No food available but that was fine as we had no kids with us.

Great location for easy access to Dublin Airport and Croke Park. Bus lines run every 15 minutes right to the centre of town and beyond.

The registration took a LONG time - apparently because they needed to confirm YOUR details!!! The room carpet was wet, it had apparently been shampooed that day!! The shower was very erratic.

Warm friendly staff, convenient to transport to and from city!

Good location just outside City Centre with easy access via bus route. Several restaurants/pub in Castleknock village which was a 15 minute walk from Travelodge. Over all worth considering as stop over accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were all really pleasant and helpful
