Dining Options
For breakfast, lunch and dinner you can visit the Aberdeen Restaurant in The Gresham Hotel. It's located on the ground floor, through the lobby at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast is served here between 7am and 12 noon daily. It's a buffet style breakfast and consists of a mouth-watering selection of hot and cold items. If you've had a late night and would prefer breakfast in your room it's no problem. A full Irish and Continental breakfast will be delivered directly to your room between 7.15am and 12 noon - make sure you leave the breakfast card menu hanging on your door before you go to bed though!
It's also open daily for lunch while dinner is served between 5:30pm and 10pm from Monday to Friday. This restaurant which has an old-world feel has an informal atmosphere and is mainly used by hotel guests.
'23' is the second restaurant and is open for dinner Monday to Saturday from 5:30pm. This stylish restaurant, which is located on the ground floor, offers intimate dining and can seat up to 48 people. It's not usually open to the public. It has a very modern design navy carpet along with black, white and cream furnishings.
The Lobby Lounge is the perfect place to retreat afterwards with a drink. There's a waiter service here and you can choose from a selection of snacks and light meals from the 'Lobby Menu'. Coffee is freshly made to order and you even get your own plunger. This is one of the few hotels that serve afternoon tea in Dublin and it's a real treat. Just remember to have a very light lunch as you get a generous selection of pastries and sandwiches. It's beautifully served complete with white table linen. It costs around EUR25.00 per person and you can upgrade to include a glass of champagne if you wish.
Toddy's Bar is one of the hotel bars and is located on the ground floor to the left of reception. It's open to the public and has a separate entrance on O'Connell Street - although it's probably more residents than locals in the evenings. There's lots of stools around the bar and there are also plenty of comfortable chairs - the carpet's a bit worn though. Unfortunately there's no television.
The bar is always buzzing at lunchtime though as food is a big part of the business. A carvery lunch is served from 12pm to 3pm while a small a la carte menu is available from noon until late.
The Writers Bar is situated across the lobby from Toddy's. It's bright with lots of natural day light, elegant and to be honest has a more pleasant environment. It has a raised seating area that overlooks the street. This is also the resident's lounge and there is no access from the street. - the 'Lobby Menu' is served here and in our opinion it's probably a nicer spot for your afternoon tea.
Hotel Facilities
The Gresham Hotel offers secure off street parking which is great in the city centre. It costs EUR12.50 overnight and EUR2.50 hourly afterwards.
There's 24 hour room service at the hotel. You can choose from a special a la carte menu between noon and 10pm. After 10 pm a selection of sandwiches and deserts are available.
There are 26 meeting rooms that can accommodate between 2 and 350 delegates, this will explain why business travellers are the norm here.
The concierge desk is located opposite the reception desk - they'll be happy to help you with luggage, advise you on things to do etc.
There's always a night porter available at the hotel
The hotel has one room with full wheelchair access and there's a lift to all floors.
