RiverHouse Hotel

This RiverHouse Hotel has 29 guest rooms, ranging from twin to double to triple. Depending on the room you get there are different furnishings and décor - it's fair to say that we found the accommodation to be basic.

Facilities in each room include a desk with chairs, bedside lockers or shelving, tea/coffee tray, direct dial phone, hair-dryer and TV with local channels (no satellite). But despite being a bit shabby, the rooms were most definitely clean and we reckon they fit the bill perfectly if you're in Dublin to party.

The en suites that we saw were of a decent enough size and we were told that fresh towels and toiletries are provided every day. Some have a combined bath and shower while some just have a shower unit but again the tired look of them shouldn't distract from the overall cleanliness of the place.

We also checked out the apartment of the River House Hotel - although its part of the hotel you have to go in a separate entrance, around the back of the building. Again, the accommodation is basic (the entrance corridor isn't the most appealing either!) but it offers a perfect pad if you're on a stag or hen night and fancy having a bit of space from other guests.

The apartment has one triple, one twin and one double room and each room has its individual bathroom, two of which are en suite. Take note that although it's called 'an apartment', there aren't any cooking facilities and there's no lounge area.
