The Mespil Hotel is a 3 star hotel in the prestigious Dublin 4 area on Mespil Road, about a 20-minute walk into the Grafton Street part of the city centre.

This hotel has good sized rooms that are pleasantly decorated and are ideal for a short break stay. You can relax in the hotel bar and dine in style in the Glaze Bistro.

The hotel is set slightly back off the street so there's plenty of room for taxis or coaches to drop off guests. Although it's not overly impressive from the outside (square-looking, glass fronted building) when you walk through the revolving doors you'll find the reception and lobby area are really bright and spacious.

There's a huge reception desk (eliminates any long check-in queues!) with unique art prints on the wall and loads of comfortable leather couches and armchairs spread around the lobby. And for that special touch, each coffee table has a simple floral arrangement placed on it.

There's a real conservatory feel to the whole lobby area, nice place to sit and watch the locals go about their business from the full-length windows.
