absolutely loved the location and the sense of occassion about but the service in the bar is very poor and slow as was experienced by not only ourselves but a no. of other customers.However staff remained pleasant.My coffee at e5.00 was returned twice as it was cold to no satisfaction so I just paid and left it there.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff service and the spa is well worth a visit. Although the service in the Cellar Restaurant was excellent, the food was unremarkable.

Overall I was very pleased with my stay at the Merrion & would definitely recommend it to friends. The staff were extremely attentive & welcoming & it was refreshing to stay in a hotel that maintained the old Dublin style atmosphere.
