Great location in the centre. Also very quiet as it is set in a side street just off St Stephen's Green.

No idea, got a call on the morning I was supposed to book in and was told that since they had a leak the previous night my room was flooded and they would put me up in the Tara Towers. Either they are the only hotel in the world that pre allocate room or they were over booked. As my business was in the city centre I didn't appreciate the inconvenience. The Tara Towers is a bit run down but the staff were first rate, friendly, helpful etc...

My group thought the Mercer Hotel was great. We stayed there on St. Patrick's Day, so we basically only slept there as we were out on the town all day and most of the night. One thing that was particularly difficult was finding the hotel on St. Patrick's Day as many of the streets were blocked off for the parade and other activities. We drove around for several hours and most people, including policemen, were unable to tell us how to get to the Mercer with the road-blockings. We eventually found a way but if I recall correctly, we had to go through an alleyway which was not on any map. Otherwise, we found the Mercer to be very accomodating and had a great overall stay.

It was quite central, just 5 minutes walk from the centre. The rooms were comfortable. It was pleasurable for us.
