Overview
The Jackson Court Hotel is a standard 2 star hotel with a superb location. It's sited in a part of the city centre commonly known as the 'Village Quarter' and is only a short stroll from Grafton Street and St. Stephen's Green. The exterior of the hotel is in the traditional Georgian townhouse style, while inside you'll find basic yet clean accommodation in its 25 guest bedrooms.
The hotel doesn't claim to be anything it's not. It probably could do with a refurbishment but it's great value for money in the city centre and perfect for those who want to stay up late. There's a nightclub in the basement, the very popular Copper Face Jacks, which stays open late at the weekends. So if you'd like a decent nights sleep ask for a room on the top floor - the higher up you are, the further away the basement disco.
The reception area is quite large but it’s not some place you'd sit down for a chat and a coffee. It’s kind of dark and really just an entrance to the bar, below which is the nightclub. As for the accommodation, the hotel has 25 basic but safe and clean guest rooms - the decor in the rooms is a bit dated though.
Its location cannot be faulted however, and the city's major sights, shopping, and nocturnal spots are only minutes away.
