The Comfort Inn Smithfield Hotel Dublin has 92 rooms and all are of a very good size - double, triple and double & single rooms. The rooms have the same neutral colour tones, in keeping with the rest of the hotel - fresh, clean and uncluttered.

White duvets with a light brown throw across the end compliment the brown curtains and carpets. The walls are white, which by contrast, sets off the dark colours very nicely. Some of the guest rooms have balconies overlooking the Plaza - you can step outside and take in the views of the 'fair city'.

Each room has a good range of amenities such as tea & coffee making facilities, a telephone, free broadband internet access, a trouser press, individually controlled heating and a hairdryer. There's a combined satellite TV/ DVD and CD unit - the hotel has an agreement with a local DVD rental store - residents can rent DVDs without becoming members.

Furniture includes a good open wardrobe space with a great built in shelf unit beside it, a small round table and two chairs along with a dressing table with a large mirror and chair. To make sure you're looking your best there's also a full-length mirror.

You can choose a smoking or non smoking room - the second floor in the hotel is a smoking floor. And five of the guestrooms have access for people with disabilities.

The en suites, which are a bit on the small side, have clean, fresh and bright white floor and wall tiles. There's a grey marble sink unit along with loads of surface space, the bath and power shower are combined and there's plenty of complimentary toiletries. The best bit though is the underfloor heating!
