Breakfast is served in the combined bar/restaurant of the Comfort Inn Smithfield Hotel Dublin, namely Stir Café. You can choose a continental buffet breakfast while hot food is a la carte and served to the table. From Monday to Friday breakfast is from 7am to 10am while you can have an extra lie-in at the weekends as breakfast is between 8am and 12 noon.

Unfortunately you can't get breakfast delivered to your room but you can order a take-away breakfast by placing the order on your bedroom door the night before and just pick it up the next morning.

Stir Café is located on the ground floor directly opposite the front entrance. It can seat up to 50 people and is bright with lots of windows. Again it's uncluttered with light neutral colours and comfortable furnishings. The menu is quite basic - soups, sandwiches, paninis etc., but it's perfect for a snack or light lunch. There's a full bar licence and it's open until 10pm.

Dublin has a great pub scene so you won't have to go too far to find one.

Cobblestone is a traditional Irish pub that hasn't changed in years. It's very popular with the locals and there's live music there most nights - located at the top of Smithfield close to the Four Courts.

Dice Bar on Queen Street is more modern and attracts a younger crowd- there's an in-house DJ every evening.

Sin É, on Aston Quay, is only a 10-minute walk away. Again it's a young and trendy spot with a late bar every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

If you're here on business the Comfort Inn Smithfield Hotel Dublin has two business suites. The King's Bench can accommodate up to 18 people. It's got all the usual audio-visual equipment and is very nicely decorated with comfortable black leather chairs. The Chancery Suite is the second meeting room and fits about 8 people.

There's secure parking on Queen Street behind the hotel - the entrance to the hotel is on level two. For 24 hours it costs around EUR10.00, 9am to 6pm costs EUR6.00 and 6pm to 8am costs EUR4.00.

The hotel offers a 10% discount to guests at Charters Medical Centre next door.

Other facilities include a lift, disability access to all public areas as well as 5 disabled rooms, free Wi Fi in public areas, free newspapers (available Monday to Friday), multi lingual staff and a safe in reception to store your valuables. Afternoon tea is also available at the Comfort Inn Smithfield.
