The Comfort Inn Smithfield Hotel Dublin is a 3 star hotel in the historic heart of the city near Smithfield Plaza. Its location is fantastic, behind the Four Courts and only a few minutes walk from the nearest tram stop - very handy.

On the outside this modern glass fronted building blends in well with the new look of the rejuvenated Smithfield Plaza. Inside, it's a fresh, simple, unpretentious hotel, opened in June 2006. Its neutral colour tones and bright, crisp feel hit you as soon as you enter the hotel.

The hotel has 92 bedrooms each offering a wide range of guest amenities. There's also a combined bar and restaurant, Stir Café, and if business has taken you to Dublin the hotel offers a range of business facilities in the The King's Bench and Chancery Suite meeting rooms.

As you walk through the hotel you'll notice a very nice collection of black & white photographs of Dublin taken by a local photographer - it's like they've taken a little bit of the city and brought it inside! We found the staff here to be very friendly and seemed willing to help you in any way they could - always really good to see!

All in all we reckon the Comfort Inn Smithfield offers good value for money in a much sought after city centre location and the views of Dublin's skyline from the hotel aren't bad either.
