Location
The Comfort Inn Parnell Square is located north of Dublin city centre, on the opposite side of O' Connell Street to the river. It's situated on a street called Great Denmark Street, which is just off the well-known Parnell Square in the Dublin 1 district.

When walking from O' Connell Street, walk past the Garden of Remembrance. Take the next right onto Gardener Row. This street leads onto Great Denmark Street, where the hotel is located (Look for the blue 'Comfort Inn' sign on the right hand side as the hotels exterior is bit narrow so you could easily miss it).

Public Transport Links
Bus Connection: Busaras is the city's main bus station, with connections to all parts of Ireland. It's located opposite Connelly Rail Station roughly a 20-minute walk from the Comfort Inn Parnell Square.

Tram Connection: The Red LUAS Line connecting Connelly Station and Tallaght, runs through Abbey Street. Get off at the Abbey Street stop. Abbey Street runs perpendicular to O'Connell Street, so once you're on O' Connell Street walk north away from the river and the follow the directions to the hotel, which we have provided in the 'Location' section above.
Rail Connection: Heuston Intercity Railway Station serves the south and west of Ireland. From this station, take any of the buses into the city centre such as the number 90. Get off at O'Connell Bridge and walk down to the end of O'Connell Street (opposite end from the river). From here follow directions in our 'Location' section.

From Hueston Station, you also have the option of getting the LUAS (Tram) into the city. Just take the red line in the direction of Connelly Station and get off at the Abbey Street stop, then follow directions to the hotel in the 'Location' section above.

Connolly Intercity Railway Station serves the north and west of Ireland. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the hotel by walking down Abbey Street until you come to O' Connell Street then follow directions above.
How To Get From The Nearest Airport
Dublin International Airport is located around 12km from the Comfort Inn Parnell Square.

By Bus - from the airport, the blue Air Coach bus service departs every 15 minutes from outside the airport terminal building. A one-way ticket for this bus costs about EUR7.00 and return EUR12.00. It will take you as far as O'Connell Street, outside the Gresham Hotel. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk from here. When you get off the bus, walk north to the end of O'Connell Street, cross Parnell Street onto North Frederick Street. About three quarters of the way down this street you will meet Gardener Row on the right. This street leads onto Great Denmark Street, where the hotel is located.
Another good option is the 16a bus from the airport, which will drop you off at Parnell Square West. When you get off the bus just walk around to the east side of the square and walk down Gardner Row until you see the hotel on your right. This bus trip costs about EUR1.60 and it's perfect if you are travelling light.
By Taxi - Follow the 'Taxi' signs from the Arrivals Hall. A taxi from the airport to the city can take anything from 20 to 40 minutes depending on traffic and can cost somewhere between EUR40.00 and EUR50.00. It's worth it if there are a few passengers or if you have a lot of luggage.
By car - If you are driving from the airport to the city, follow signs for Dublin city centre, which will bring you straight into Drumcondra Village. From here follow directions for Dorset Street. Take a left at the 'Auld Triangle Pub' and go straight ahead. Take the next right at the DID Electrical Store (it has a red sign). Continue straight through the next set of traffic lights. You'll see the Comfort Inn Parnell Square Hotel on your left – it is the red brick building with the blue sign.
How To Get To Dublin's Top Attractions
You are located just minutes away from some of Dublin city's top attractions when you stay in this hotel. The Comfort Inn Parnell Square is situated just off O'Connell Street – Dublin's main thoroughfare. When you exit the hotel, take a left and continue until you come to the end of the street to an area known as Parnell Square East. To reach O'Connell Street from here, take a left and keep going straight for about 10 minutes and you're there! The following attractions are between a 5-20 minute walk from the hotel.

The Garden of Remembrance is in memory of those who lost their lives in the fight for Irish freedom. It's the closest attraction to the hotel and is located at Parnell Square East, Dublin 1.

The Hugh Lane Gallery is Dublins museum of modern and contemporary art and it's located at Charlemont House in Parnell Square North, quite close to the hotel.
Dublin Writer’s Museum is also located within a few steps of the hotel at number 18 Parnell Square, Dublin 1.

The James Joyce Centre promotes the works of Ireland's literary genius, James Joyce. It's situated at 35 North Great Georges St Dublin 1. Just exit the hotel, take a right and then a first left onto North Great Georges Street.

And if you don't feel like walking, jump on the Dublin 'Hop-on Hop-off' bus tour which starts and ends at 59 Upper O' Connell Street. This is one of the best ways to see the city and the ticket is valid for 24 hours.
Make your way to O' Connell Street, which is regarded as Europe's widest street and see a whole host of attractions like the G.P.O whose pillars bear the marks of the 1916 Rising, the Parnell Monument at one end, the O'Connell Monument in the other and in the middle Dublin's newest attraction - The Spire.

Cross over the bridge at the end of O'Connell Street to see the following attractions. Trinity College is the oldest and highest ranked college in Ireland and is home to one of the most famous books in the world - The Book of Kells.

After visiting Trinity College, head along Dame Street onto Lord Edward Street and you'll come to Dublin's Viking and Medieval quarter. Here you can visit Christ Church Cathedral, the Old City Walls and Dublin Castle.
For the following attractions hop on the LUAS (Tram) red line, at the 'Abbey Street' Stop on Lower Abbey Street and head in the direction of 'Tallaght'. Once you get off the tram all attractions are within 5 and 15 minutes walk.

The National Museum of Ireland (Natural History) Collins Barracks is at Banbury Street, Dublin 7. Take the LUAS from the Abbey Street stop as far as the 'Museum' stop.

In Phoenix Park visit Dublin Zoo and the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre. Take the LUAS from Abbey Street as far as the 'Heuston' stop.

To see the Old Jameson Distillery on Bow Street and The Chimney Viewing Tower, get off at the 'Smithfield' stop.

For Kilmainham Jail on Inchicore Road and the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Military Road, get off at the 'Heuston' stop.
Shopping and Entertainment:

The main shopping districts in Dublin city can be found both north and south of the River Liffey. The nearest to the hotel is Henry Street, it's about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and you'll recognise it as the pedestrian street about half way down O' Connell Street on the right hand side. Henry Street is lined with shops and it's also home to the Illac and Jervis Shopping Centres.

On the south side of the river is the famous shopping area of Grafton Street. This is also a pedestrians street where you'll find a host of high-street shops and the Brown Thomas department store. At the top of Grafton Street you'll find the impressive St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre.
If you are in town for a concert or if you just fancy a night at the theatre, here's how to get to Dublin's top entertainment venues:

The Gate Theatre is just a stone's throw from the hotel. It's literally around the corner on Cavendish Row in Parnell Square.

One of Dublin's top theatres is the Olympia Theatre, which can be reached taking the following directions. Take a street called Dame Street (opposite the entrance to Trinity College). Continue on this street and you'll see the theatre on the right after the junction with South Great Georges Street.

The Point Theatre is situated on North Wall Quay. It's about a 25 - 30 minute walk from O'Connell Bridge or you can just hop on the No 53A at Edens Quay.
The RDS is the Irish International convention and exhibition centre and the venue for many top concerts. It's located on Merrion Road between the Four Seasons Hotel and Herbert Park. Bus routes number 7, 5 and 45 will bring you here and can be got from Nassau Street outside Trinity College. They stop outside the Main Hall Entrance on Merrion Road.

The National Concert Hall is located on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin 2. From O'Connell Street head south over the River Liffey, down Westmoreland Street, past Trinity College onto Nassau Street. From Nassau Street, take a right turn up Kildare Street. This will lead you onto St Stephen's Green. Go left around the side of the green and walk past it onto Earlsfort Terrace.
If you're in Dublin for a big game, then you're more than likely going to be heading to either Croke Park or Landsdowne Road. These stadiums have also been the venue for some big concerts in recent years.

Croke Park Stadium is situated in Dublin 3 in the north Dublin neighbourhood of Drumcondra and is boarded by Jones's Road to the west, Clonliffe Road to the north, St. James Avenue to the east and the Royal Canal to the south. It's less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

The easiest way to get to Lansdowne Road Stadium is to get the DART (The Dublin Area Rapid Transport) which runs directly to the stadium from Connelly station and takes around five minutes. There are regular services (Nos 5, 7, 7a & 8) from Busaras, the central Dubin bus station to Lansdowne Road.
