Location
The Clarion Hotel IFSC is located in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), in the heart of Dublin's docklands on North Wall Quay. This area is mainly a business district. The hotel is only about a 10-15 minute walk east along the river from O’Connell Bridge.
It is also about a 15 minute walk (in the opposite direction to the city centre) to the Point Depot, making it a great choice of accommodation if you're here for a show or concert.
Public Transport Links
Rail Connection: Heuston Intercity Railway Station serves the south and west of Ireland. Bus No. 90 from Aston Quay, just on the corner of Westmoreland Street, is the most popular route to take to the train station.
Connolly Intercity Railway Station, which serves the north and west of Ireland, is a 15-minute walk from the hotel or a short taxi ride. From the station, walk along Amiens Street until you come to the river. Here, take a left and walk down the Quays away from the centre - the Clarion Hotel IFSC is on the left, facing the river.
Tram and Bus Connection: The nearest bus station and nearest tram stop is at Bus Aras - the Central Bus Station. This is located opposite Connolly Station, so just follow the above directions to get to the hotel.
How To Get From The Nearest Airport
Dublin International Airport is 12km from the Clarion Hotel IFSC. No train or underground service is available to bring you to or from the hotel to the airport.
Most city centre buses from the airport will bring you to the O’Connell Street vicinity, the best side of the river from which to reach the hotel.
Take the blue Aircoach from the airport to O'Connell Street. Cost of a one-way ticket is around EUR7.00 and a return ticket about EUR12.00. It is a 20 minute walk along O'Connell Street towards O'Connell Bridge. Before the bridge take a left and walk down the Quays (Eden Quay, Custom House Quay, etc) until you reach the hotel on North Wall Quay.
If you don’t like the idea of travelling by bus, taxis are always available outside the airport building at a cost of around EUR40.00 to EUR50.00.
If you're driving from the airport follow these directions: From the airport take the N1 towards the city centre. From O'Connell Street take a left onto Lower Abbey Street. Take the first right at lights and pass the Abbey Theatre. Take a left onto Eden Quay and go straight on at the traffic lights onto Custom House Quay. Keeping to the left lane, continue straight through two more sets of traffic lights. You'll see the hotel on the left hand side.
