Location
This Camden Court Hotel is set on the bustling Lower Camden Street in what's best described as being on the outer part of Dublin's city centre but to be honest, it's actually only about a 10-minute walk to the main shopping and tourist spots.

This is mainly a business area of Dublin and there are loads of restaurants and decent pubs in the locality. In particular, the famous 'Bleeding Horse' (dating from 1649!) is right next door and if you're into your traditional pubs, it's worth popping your head in the door for a look around.

Camden Court, Dublin - Exterior
Public Transport Links
Train -

Although Dublin does have the DART train system, due to the way the network is set up it's not really much use if you want to get to the Camden Court Hotel. And if you're arriving into Dublin's Heuston or Connolly Train Stations, you're best bet is to catch a bus or to catch the LUAS tram (see below).

Bus -

The handiest bus to use is Dublin Bus no. 16A, which runs all the way from Dublin Airport into O'Connell Street in the centre of Dublin. This stops just outside the hotel before the set of traffic lights so when you stay here you're well connected to the Dublin Bus network.

LUAS Tram -

The Luas tram system offers a really good way of getting to the Camden Court Hotel from Dublin city centre. From St. Stephens Green you can catch the Luas (green line) to the Harcourt Street stop, which is the first stop and the hotel is only a minute or two away on foot.

When you hop off at Harcourt Street head for Charlotte Way and at the end of this street you'll come to the 'Bleeding Horse' pub on the corner. The hotel is next door to this pub just around to your left.

How To Get From The Nearest Airport
You're not short of transport options from Dublin Airport to the Camden Court Hotel:

You can catch the Aircoach from outside the arrivals hall (just walk across the zebra crossing to reach the Aircoach departure point) and get off at Grafton Street, in front of Trinity College. Then head down to the end of Grafton Street to St. Stephens Green West and you can catch the Luas tram (see tram above). The Aircoach fare will cost you EUR7.00 one-way and EUR12.00 return fare.

You can also catch Dublin Bus no. 16A from Dublin Airport and this runs to just outside the hotel (see bus above).

Of course if you don't fancy public transport you can easily get a taxi at Dublin Airport - just follow signs in the arrivals hall to make your way to the taxi rank. Fares vary depending on traffic but we reckon you shouldn't have to pay anymore than EUR25.00 to EUR30.00.

How To Get To Dublin's Top Attractions
To be fair, you're within reasonable walking distance of Dublin's top attractions from the Camden Court Hotel. Or by using the public transport links (see above) to get to the very heart of Dublin you'll find the 'must-see' tourist spots really easy to get to.

St. Stephens Green and Grafton Street with its endless shopping are only one stop away by Luas or a short bus journey. Within this area you'll find Trinity College and the famous Book of Kells - just walk to the bottom of Grafton Street and you'll see it right in front of you.

Actually another landmark spot while you're in this part of Dublin is the Molly Malone Statue - worth a photo at least!

To get to Temple Bar, the hub of Dublin's nightlife from Grafton Street take a left for Suffolk Street (where you'll also find the Dublin Tourism Centre) and at the end of this street go left to continue onto Dame Street. When you see the Central Bank, basically all the streets behind this are known as Temple Bar.

And if you continue along Dame Street to Lord Edward Street and Christchurch Place you'll find a whole host top attractions along the way such as the Olympia Theatre, Dublin Castle, City Hall, Christchurch Cathedral and Dublinia (Viking history of Dublin).

From Trinity College you can easily make it to the impressive O'Connell Street and the equally impressive Spire. From College Green, simply walk along Westmoreland Street and then cross O'Connell Bridge to reach O'Connell Street. There's a load to do and see in this area from the shops of Henry Street to the historic General Post Office and a lot of city tours leave from this area as well.

And from St. Stephens Green, if you head along St. Stephens Green North you'll reach the real Georgian part of Dublin with Leinster House (home of the government), the National Museum and the National Library (all located on Kildare Street). These are all alongside the Merrion Square area where you'll find the National Gallery, the Natural History Museum and the Oscar Wilde Memorial to name but a few.

The Camden Court Hotel is really close to the National Concert Hall; come out of the hotel and turn left along Harcourt Road then onto Adelaide Road and turn left onto Earlsfort Terrace to reach the famous venue.

If you're heading to Lansdowne Road Stadium, continue along Adelaide Road, then follow the canal along Wilton Terrace and you'll come out onto Baggot Street. Turn right along Baggot Street, which becomes Pembroke Road and then Lansdowne Road.
