The Best Western Ashling Hotel is located on the River Liffey in the heart of Dublin city just a short distance from the Guinness Storehouse, Phoenix Park and the bustling Temple Bar area.
You'll discover that it's very easy to locate this hotel – it is positioned across the road from Hueston Intercity Railway station, which serves the west and south of Ireland. All the city's rail, bus and LUAS lines lead here. When you arrive at Hueston Station, the hotel is just a two minute walk across the River Liffey.
Connolly Intercity Rail Station serves the North and West of Ireland. The LUAS red line trams connect the hotel directly with Connolly Station. There is also a frequent RailLink public bus service. Get off at the Museum stop which is the nearest stop to the hotel.
LUAS tram service is Dublin's state of the art light rail transit system. To reach the Ashling Hotel, take the red line LUAS tram. The tramline is adjacent to the hotel and is just a two minute walk from either Hueston or Museum stop.
Most bus services into Dublin operate to the city centre and/or the central bus station, Busaras. Bus stop's for various buses are adjacent to the hotel including the No. 90, which goes to and from the city centre. This journey takes approximately 10 minutes and buses depart the city centre every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening.
When you stay at the Ashling Hotel you have direct access to every type of public transport - making everything that Dublin has to see and do available to you.

The Chimney Viewing Tower is in Smithfield village in Dublin 7. It is also on the red LUAS line – two stops to Smithfield.
Dublin Zoo is positioned in the Phoenix Park and is found best by walking. There is an entrance into the park from Parkgate Road.
If you walk along Parkgate Road you can gain access to the Phoenix Park where you should go to its visitors centre.

Hop on the No 68 & 69 bus on Parkgate Street and visit Kilmainham Jail.
The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hospital, Military Road Kilmainham is passed by many of the buses that service Heuston Station.
Christchurch Cathedral is located on the top of Lord Edward Street and can be found just beside the civic office, on the western edge of Temple Bar in the heart of Dublin's medieval core.
There is a Dublinia Exhibition, which is a recreation of Dublin life, in St. Michaels Hill in Christchurch in Dublin 8.
Shopping:
The main shopping districts in Dublin city can be found both north and south of the river Liffey. On the south side of the River Liffey is Grafton Street near St Stephens Green
and Henry Street is to the north of the river. All of which have the best of shops and have friendly cafes.

For fantastic dining experiences visit the trendy Temple Bar area whose cool café's, gourmets restaurants and lively pubs will provide you with a fantastic evenings entertainment.

The Ashling Hotel is located near Shelbourne Greyhound Stadium which can be reached on the No2 or No3.
It is also near Croke Park, which is situated in Drumcondra. It plays host to major sporting events and some concerts. The closest railway station is at Drumcondra which is a five minute walk from the stadium. From the City centre to Drumcondra road – No 3, 11, 11a, 16, 16a, 41.
Theatres:
There are many theatres in Dublin such as The Gaiety theatre, which is next to St. Stephen's Green Shopping centre. Take any of the buses from Hueston station into the city centre. Walk up Grafton Street and take a right onto South King Street.
The Olympia Theatre is on 73 Dame Street in Dublin 1. From Trinity College walk straight up Dame Street, you will find the theatre to the right of the junction with South Great Georges Street.
Dublin International Airport, which is situated around 10km north of the city, is Irelands largest and busiest airport. Unfortunately there isn't a shuttle service to take you to the Ashling Hotel but Dublin Bus provides and Airlink, which is very popular among guests.
This Airlink runs to both Connolly intercity railway station and Heuston intercity railway station.
It also stops in Busaras and in the city centre itself. The Airlink is comfortable and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. It is available from outside the terminal building.
In the city, disembark at the Heuston stop. Cross the River Liffey at the Sean Heuston Bridge, which is adjacent to the station. Cross the street directly in front of you. Turn right and you will see the Ashling hotel ahead of you on the left.
