How to get to Dublin:
If you’re coming in from abroad then the best way is undoubtedly by flying. Dublin Airport is the busiest terminal in Ireland by a long way and so there’s no shortage of international and domestic airlines that run service to and from here. If you’re coming from far off places in Asia, Africa or Australia then the likelihood is that you’ll be changing at London.
Just 10km from the city centre, you’re best bet is to pick up one of the frequent blue Aircoaches – they bobble along the bus lines just out of the reach of the traffic to bring you into town in good time. Just stroll out from the Arrivals Halls and you’ll see them across the way. Taxis are another option, though they are far pricier, but if you’re off the beaten track then they do come in handy.
If you’re doing the ferry run then you’ll either be getting into Dun Laoghaire out in the suburbs on the south side of the city or Dublin Port terminal just north of the city centre. There’s excellent public transport links to the centre of town from both ports, and of course there’s always the option of a taxi.
